About Dave the Barber

I’m David J. Burdick—better known as Dave the Barber. I’m a Navy veteran, longtime barber, author, filmmaker, and independent creator based in Belle Chasse, Louisiana.

I’ve been cutting hair for more than twenty years, specializing in military cuts, classic styles, children’s haircuts, and solid beard work in a relaxed, walk-in barbershop.

When I’m not behind the chair, I’m usually creating something. I write fantasy novels under the name David J. Burdick, make films and short-form videos, design T-shirts, and write about artificial intelligence, creativity, technology, and the changing world of independent creators.

This website is the home for all of it: haircuts, books, films, essays, experiments, and the occasional strange idea that was too interesting not to pursue.
